Work on research

In our lab, everyone has chances to work on the latest research. Undergraduate students, as well as master and doctoral students, are publishing their papers in major international conferences.

Those who are interested in joining our lab

We welcome students who have a passion for research on speech signal processing and machine learning. We host students from international graduate programs and research students as well as students from regular undergraduate and graduate programs. When you contact me for the application to the international programs, please identify which program you are planning to apply. Also, please appeal your motivation on research and skill on mathematics and programming attaching supporting materials such as an academic record. The possible research topics include, but not limited to, unsupervised and reinforcement learning based automatic spoken language aquision, speech understanding, and anomaly detection. I may not be able to respond if these are not described. Information on programs for international study is available here.

To investigate the research topics of our area, checking programs of international conferences will be useful.

Sometimes, international technical competitions are organized. In these challenge tasks, the organizer provides basic setup including scripts and data, and research teams from the world compete to improve it. You may participate such challenges as a part of your project.

Resarch Assistant
